![]() The Malonsons Roy Douglas and Shirley Ann Malonson established Malonson RS Ranch in 1982 in the community of Acres Home located in Harris County, Texas on 23 acres. In 2004 The Malonsons
purchased the beautiful 251 acre ranch of the legendary race car driver AJ Foyt in the gentle rolling hills of Waller County, Texas (between Hempstead and Grime County line), just 50 minutes from downtown Houston
and 35 minutes from College Station. In 2008 The Malonsons started their Whitetail Breeding Program on 35 acres, renamed their ranch to RS Deer Ranch and branding all their whitetail deer by the name "CAJUN". The Malonson's are Philanthropist to many educational and community organizations. The Malonson's spearheaded the formation of a series of Acres Home community base organizations that received national attention putting Acres Home on the map and they are: The Acres Home War on Drugs Movement one of President Bush "Thousand Points of Lights". Acres Home Community Development Corporation, Home Repair Program, Acres Home Center for Business and Economic Development. Acres Home Citizens Chamber of Commerce now called the African American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston the largest African American Chamber in the country with more than 800 members. With its strong focus on education, it helped create the first charter school in Houston, Houston ISD North District Charter School, and the Aldine Independent School District's Montessori/Magnet Program with is one of the top five school districts in the country. Both programs are nationally recognized. For his inspiring determination, success and support of education, Houston Community College awarded Malonson an Honorary Associate in Arts degree. Through his achievements, Malonson has raised the consciousness of African-American entrepreneurs about possibilities. Malonson as chairman of the Texas Association of African American Chamber of Commerce, he was instrumental in forging partnerships with many African American Texas Organizations, The Senate and Legislative Caucus, Mayors, County Commissioners and City Council members. The Malonson's were awarded the Outstanding Texan six times and numerous Feature Stories, Awards and Recognitions locally, state, nationally and quoted by Presidents of the United States. In addition he received the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Drum Major Award. Past honorees include Congressman Mickey Leland, Congresswoman Barbara Jordan, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and Astronaut Charles F.
